In 2017, Mr. PD Gupta has started a business with the supply of Sports Equipment, we developed a good business on Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon etc. Our business and growth is profitable, but we needed to build our reputation and build our brand image. The first step was to decide which product we must concentrate on in the market. We analyzedthat in Cricket there is only one item that is fast moving and ages easilyand had to be changed in each match, and the answer is “Leather Cricket Balls”. First, we got a sample order of Pink Leather Balls and that time we had no idea to where to get good quality balls. Then we found a relatively reliable supplier, who helped us to acquire leather balls and guidedus about quality control and balls quality and some important facts of balls and the leather that was used to make them. First milestone was when when our Sample order was approved,and we gained an order for 180 Pink Balls.

After Startup supplying Balls, we often suffered a problem that manufacturers are not good at time commitments and scheduling, they didn’t have good organization and were not reliable. This was a major lesson in business life for us, and we found a consultant who taught us how to set up our own Tannery workshop and this came into operation in December 2017. We named our balls brand as “NEXUKE” and got a good brand image in North India. But soon we started facing issues from North India due to terrorism. 90% markets crashed and daily production of balls now becoming a big draw back for us, because we had never focused before on other regions of the Indian Market.At this time, we changed our brand name into “NX”. Now we started capturing the market of other regions in India, our marketing was led by Miss Devika Verma. After successfully completing 2 years of business we analyzed that were around 300 Leather Cricket Ball Manufacturers either who are making the balls from home or with a Factory setup in India. We find that only 50-60 Manufacturers of these 300 were actually producing their own Brand and only 20-25 manufacturer who were tanning the leather themselves(very few had any leather tanning knowledge and mostly used aged old tradition process) and the rest of them were purchasing the pre tanned leather from tanneriesand were just carrying out the dyeing process themselves. Even the tanneries were also following the Traditional process of tanning Leather, which was over a 1000 years old process, they do not have proper knowledge of each chemical, what ratios had to be used or what pH Value to work at. Results were mostly inconsistent, and the consumer suffered with defects and a short life span of the ball. We decided to study hard and this time started working with an English Technical Consultant who taught us how to do all the necessary steps pre-tanning as well as how to revolutionize the Tanning process, maintaining all the merits of the age old process but with better controls and far superior results. Improved control over pH, Baume, reduced chemical wastage, improved chemical uptake, higher mechanical resistance, longer life span, and all without use of any toxic chemicals and restricted substances used by many Tanners. Now in full swing our Tanning division is producing one of the finest Chrome Free Leathers in the world. We are on the way and expect to soon grow to be the number one Tanner and Cricket Ball producer in the world market.We are open to new joint ventures and contract work for other brands who will soon see we are the very best at this work.
